Profile of the institution

Association for Economic Modelling, Forecasts and Analyses (EMPA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2002. The research interests of the organization cover the applications of mathematical approaches in economics with particular interests in econometrics and Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modelling. The modern econometric and applied economic techniques are used to construct dynamic models and to perform quantitative analyses. The practical applications of such models include the public finance, international trade, environmental economics, and regional analyses. EMPA cooperates with many economists with a strong mathematical background so it can provide independent forecasts and analyses that are scientifically sound and that are relevant for the policy decisions.

EMPA has been successfully involved in several local and international projects funded by domestic or international policy authorities.
